Homework, homework, give me a break!
Today's family column is brought to you by my daughter's never-ending homework. As I tell my own students...if it weren't hard, you wouldn't need a teacher.
I'm a writer, teacher, singer, mom and wife who tries to balance it all, with varying degrees of success on any given day. I've sung with opera companies, been on the communications staff for two health care organizations, and taught music at Catholic and public schools. Now I teach voice and Suzuki piano privately, cantor at local churches, and freelance for (mostly) local publications. And chase my three kids around.

I don't remember much homework in 4th grade either, but it seems like we ALWAYS had math homework. I swear I had math homework the day I was born.
