I've noticed that the Ledger is putting my weekend columns online on Sundays rather than Saturdays. I'm just glad they're still posting them!

Strangely enough, my first pair of glasses (5th grade) were bifocals. They were fine, except that I couldn't wear them to play violin - there was an extra string, lol My next pair - and every pair since - was for distance only.
Also remember, bifocals have come a long way, since Dad was wearing them in the 80s. They are far more subtle now!
