- I'm a writer, teacher, singer, mom and wife who tries to balance it all, with varying degrees of success on any given day. I've sung with opera companies, been on the communications staff for two health care organizations, and taught music at Catholic and public schools. Now I teach voice and Suzuki piano privately, cantor at local churches, and freelance for (mostly) local publications. And chase my three kids around.

Awesome column, and terrific book - I read it cover to cover, and could not put it down! Good writing runs in that family. :-)
